TRUE Engineers Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist design consultancy focused on mechanical and electrical design for the construction sector. The role offers £45k-£65k depending on experience and a hybrid working pattern in South Bucks.

Projects are varied, often healthcare focused, including labs, clean rooms, hospitals and large education schemes.

Qualifications

• A degree in mechanical engineering would be beneficial but not essential.
• Chartered status would be beneficial but not essential.
• Experience as a mechanical engineer dealing with designs from client briefs to completion.
• Design experience in building services design systems.
• Confident user of a range of industry software.
• Designer who can take responsibility for their own workload.

Responsabilités

• Lead full project lifecycle from client brief to completion.
• Develop conceptual and detailed design solutions.
• Carry out detailed mechanical services design and calculations.
• Manage projects to ensure client satisfaction and profitability.
• Produce mechanical specifications, schedules, reports and papers.
• Represent the business at meetings with clients, design teams and site.
• Maintain commercial awareness.

This role is to join a specialist design consultancy working exclusively in mechanical and electrical design for the construction industry.

Since their inception this employer has concentrated on providing a high quality of personal service to their clients giving them secure ongoing projects. The projects which are often based around healthcare are varied and complex, including labs, clean rooms, hospitals and large education projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities will include the full cycle of projects from client briefs and planning, though to design and supervision and finally completion.
• Developing conceptual and detailed design solutions in line with client's brief.
• Carrying out the detailed mechanical services design and calculations.
• Management of projects to achieve client satisfaction and profitability for the business.
• Production/writing of mechanical specifications, schedules, reports and technical papers.
• Professionally represent the business at a wide range of meetings from client, design team and site.
• Commercially aware

Experience Required

• A degree in mechanical engineering would be beneficial but not essential
