Mechanical Design Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer of special purpose machinery based in the Aldershot area. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking a capable Design Engineer to join develop engineering and assembly drawings for machinery.

Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview

• Design bespoke mechanical assemblies and systems using Autodesk Inventor (preferred), producing accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Carrying out load calculations and structural analysis
• Specifying components including bearings and motors
• Working closely with electrical, production and control engineering teams
• Supporting the assembly, testing and commissioning of machines
• Maintain technical documentation and create bill of materials

Mechanical Design Engineer Job Requirements

• HND or degree qualified within a Mechanical Engineering related subject
• Practical experience within a Design Engineering role
• Proficient with 3D modelling software such as Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor
• Based in a commutable distance of Aldershot
