Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Stevenage seeks a Technical Compliance Officer (Mechanical Design) to ensure products meet safety and regulatory requirements before manufacture. You will review designs, lead risk assessments, and maintain technical files, coordinating with external bodies.

The role requires mechanical engineering background, UKCA/CE marking knowledge, and strong attention to documentation. Monday–Friday, on site in Stevenage with competitive DOE salary.

Qualifications

• Review mechanical designs, drawings, and technical docs.
• UKCA/CE marking and machinery safety knowledge.
• Risk assessment methods incl. DFMEA/HAZOP.
• Attention to detail in technical documentation and drawing standards.
• Excellent communication with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical design concepts, 3D CAD models, and 2D drawings for compliance.
• Ensure UK and international safety requirements, including UKCA/CE marking.
• Lead design risk assessments such as DFMEA and HAZOP.
• Maintain technical files, including calculations and certifications.
• Prepare Declarations of Conformity and Incorporation.
• Audit drawings, docs, and change notes; control documents.
• Monitor standards changes and advise on compliance.
• Liaise with test houses, inspectors, and certification bodies.
• Identify compliance gaps and drive improvements.
