Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced professional for a crucial role within the SCP project at Sellafield. The position focuses on the mechanical design of a shielded piping system, where you will ensure the accuracy and compliance of mechanical drawings before they proceed to manufacture.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of checking manufacturing maturity mechanical drawings to BS EN 8888.
• Experience within a regulated industry, preferable in nuclear.
• Conversant with engineering standards for piping installations.

Responsibilities

• Check mechanical drawings prior to release for manufacture.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the project team to deliver quality designs.

Skills

Checking GA and detailed manufacturing drawings

Experience in highly regulated industries

Knowledge of engineering standards for piping installations

Familiarity with nuclear containment principles

Understanding of Geometrical product specifications (GPS)

Ability to check engineering documentation
