Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Mechanical Day Shift Engineer for a commercial building in Mayfair, London. The role requires mechanical qualification and a proven track record in building maintenance, working with a small on-site team to maintain plant, pumps, motors, and HVAC systems.

The position offers a salary of £49,000 per annum, 4 on 4 off / 6 on 4 off shift patterns, overtime opportunities, private healthcare, 20 days’ holiday, and progression opportunities within a growing FM

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically qualified to a level 2 (C&G, NVQ) minimum.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant, pumps, motors, seals and bearings.
• Maintenance of air handling units, filtration and fan coil units.
• Inspect water treatment, temperature checks and dosing as required.
• Carry out plumbing tasks (unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers).
• Monitor BMS systems and perform basic electrical duties (lamp changes).
• Escort subcontractors and report faults; ensure H&S compliance.
