Job summary

Equans Group is seeking a Mechanical Craftsperson (Water) to join the team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will undertake planned and reactive maintenance on water systems, interpreting instructions, drawings and specifications to ensure safe, compliant operation. The ideal candidate will have NVQ/C&G Level 2 in Heating/Vent/Plumbing, with Legionella/TMV/Disinfection awareness, and HTM 04

Qualifications

• Essential criteria: NVQ or C&G Level 2 Heating/Vent/Plumbing.
• Legionella/TMV/Disinfection awareness and training.
• Desirable: NVQ or C&G Level 3 Heating/Vent/Plumbing.
• HTM 04 RP/CP training.

Responsibilities

• Undertake water system planned preventive maintenance, testing, breakdown maintenance and other maintenance activities.
• Interpret and work from drawings and specifications appropriate to own trade, without supervision.
• Complete maintenance and reactive tasks on water systems including TMV Servicing, Water Tanks, CLO2 Units, Showers, Water Plants, Temperature Checks.
• Provide reports, calculations, and recommendations for efficient running of plant and equipment.
