Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mechanical Craftsperson to join the team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will maintain services to the NHS Trust, manage mechanical tasks, and operate in compliance with KPI's. Applicants should have an NVQ or C&G Level 2 in Heating/Vent/Plumbing, knowledge of Legionella and water systems in healthcare settings, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ or C&G Level 2 Heating/Vent/Plumbing required.
• Knowledge of Legionella, TMV and disinfection processes is essential.
• Water hygiene training is desirable.
• Valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake duties to maintain services at the NHS Trust and complete paperwork promptly.
• Perform the full range of Mechanical Craftsperson tasks as directed.
• Comply with EQUANS KPI's and contract requirements.
• Apply knowledge of water systems in healthcare environments and conduct maintenance/testing.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Legionella and other water pathogens.
• Carry out tasks including temperature monitoring, TMV servicing, AHU servicing; drive company vehicle and participate in on-call rota.

Equans is looking for a Mechanical Craftsperson to join our team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

• Undertake any reasonable duties directed by TSM/Supervisor/Helpdesk to maintain all services to the NHS Trust, and ensure that all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner
• Perform the complete range of Mechanical Craftsperson tasks as required or directed by management
• Carry out all works in compliance with EQUANS KPI's and contract
• Have a knowledge of water / mechanical systems within a healthcare environment and maintenance / testing activities
• Have a knowledge of Legionella and other water
  pathogens
• Undertake temperature monitoring, shower head cleaning and disinfection, Tank visual inspections, TMV servicing, AHU servicing, to name a few
• Drive the company vehicle as required to meet the needs of the service
• Take part in on call rota
