Job summary

1st Step is seeking a Mechanical Contracts Supervisor based near Chippenham to manage on-site mechanical projects, coordinating materials and labour while liaising with clients and consultants to understand installed systems. The role offers a permanent contract, a salary around £50k with a company vehicle.

Based from the Chippenham office, the projects are typically within 60 miles and the hours are 8am–4:30pm, with progression opportunities into project management as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Experience managing on-site mechanical projects and coordinating materials and labour.
• Ability to liaise with clients and consultants and understand installed systems.
• Good computing skills (Excel, email) for on-site communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site aspects of projects, organising materials and labour.
• Liaise with clients and consultants to understand installed systems and offer practical solutions.
• Participate in project pricing, tenders and basic design ideas.
• Engage sub-contractors and advance mechanical project management.
