Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager to lead mechanical construction activities within the Grid & Digital Solutions team for the EGL1 Project. You will maintain project documentation, manage budgets and schedules, report progress, and facilitate communication among stakeholders while enforcing quality controls and conducting periodic reviews.

• 10+ years of EPC project management experience.
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Certification in Project Management is a plus.
• Travel availability and willingness to visit sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction activities from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, drawings, technical specifications, and change orders.
• Provide regular reports on project status, including progress, budget adherence, and any issues.
• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure project objectives are met.
• Establish and enforce quality control procedures to ensure mechanical construction works meet specified standards.
• Conduct regular reviews and inspections of project deliverables.

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Construction Manager to join the Grid & Digital Solutions department, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, for the EGL1 Project,

Your Role:

• Lead mechanical construction activities from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, drawings, technical specifications, and change orders.
• Provide regular reports on project status, including progress, budget adherence, and any issues.
• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure project objectives are met.
• Establish and enforce quality control procedures to ensure mechanical construction works meet specified standards.
• Conduct regular reviews and inspections of project deliverables.

What you bring to the role:

• 10+ years of experience in managing EPC projects.
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Certification in Project Management will be considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English language.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to travel.
