Job description

My client is a leading, award-winning M&E contractor specializing in delivering projects across central London.

My clients are currently recruiting a Mechanical Construction Manager to work on a commercial project in Central London.

Mechanical Construction Manager Responsibilities:

1. Manage daily Health & Safety on site, including RAMS and Safe Systems of Work.
2. Identify and resolve daily risks and challenges on site.
3. Manage works in accordance with quality requirements.
4. Effectively manage team performance and subcontractors by ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
5. Attend and contribute to progress team meetings.
6. Assist with commissioning and ensure a smooth handover.
7. Identify and resolve engineering and coordination issues.
8. Lead in managing several subcontract packages from installation through to commissioning.
9. Communicate with Main Contractors/Clients to ensure contractual aspects align with the design.
10. Attend project meetings internally and with the Main Contractor/Client.
11. Ensure QA procedures are followed.
12. Assist with preparing and issuing regular progress reports to Main Contractors.
13. Adhere to Health and Safety requirements on site.
14. Ensure the programme is followed, and any issues are understood and communicated effectively.

Mechanical Construction Manager Requirements:

• CSCS Card.
• SMSTS certification - Essential.
• Time Served, Mechanical trade qualification, Degree level qualification, or HND Equivalent.
• Good computer skills, including understanding of Microsoft 365 software.
