My client is a leading, award-winning M&E contractor specializing in delivering projects across central London.
My clients are currently recruiting a Mechanical Construction Manager to work on a commercial project in Central London.
Mechanical Construction Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage daily Health & Safety on site, including RAMS and Safe Systems of Work.
- Identify and resolve daily risks and challenges on site.
- Manage works in accordance with quality requirements.
- Effectively manage team performance and subcontractors by ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
- Attend and contribute to progress team meetings.
- Assist with commissioning and ensure a smooth handover.
- Identify and resolve engineering and coordination issues.
- Lead in managing several subcontract packages from installation through to commissioning.
- Communicate with Main Contractors/Clients to ensure contractual aspects align with the design.
- Attend project meetings internally and with the Main Contractor/Client.
- Ensure QA procedures are followed.
- Assist with preparing and issuing regular progress reports to Main Contractors.
- Adhere to Health and Safety requirements on site.
- Ensure the programme is followed, and any issues are understood and communicated effectively.
Mechanical Construction Manager Requirements:
- CSCS Card.
- SMSTS certification - Essential.
- Time Served, Mechanical trade qualification, Degree level qualification, or HND Equivalent.
- Good computer skills, including understanding of Microsoft 365 software.
