Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Mechanical Bias Engineer to join our established engineering team. You will deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of mechanical and building services equipment in a complex facilities environment.

Working alongside an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will diagnose faults, maintain pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, HVAC systems, and ensure safety compliance and accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical/Building Services related field.
• Proven experience as Mechanical Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services systems.
• Experience performing PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Understand health & safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Experience in facilities management or building services environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs on mechanical and building services systems.
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, valves, AHUs, FCUs, HVAC systems, pipework and related plant.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests.
• Update maintenance records and CAFM systems accurately.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and site stakeholders.
• Assist with minor electrical and general building services maintenance as required.
