Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Stockport is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our permanent team and contribute to high-quality assembly and on-site commissioning. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £33,155 - £35,760 per annum and a £1,000 sign-on bonus after probation.

You’ll benefit from regular pay reviews, an 8% pension contribution and 33 holidays per year. You’ll also participate in engagement activities and have opportunities for skills development

Qualifications

• Experience assembling mechanical sub- and main assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience repairing/servicing equipment; proficient in marking out, drilling and tapping.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assembly and build quality is of optimum standard.
• Ensure machinery is of optimum quality prior to delivery.
• Attend site for machine commissioning and breakdowns.
• Meet deadlines and delivery dates.
• Ensure production instructions and quality standards are met or exceeded.
• On-site commissioning and customer training.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our brilliant client in Stockport for a Mechanical Assembly Technician. This is a permanent job with incredible benefits, such as regular employee engagement days, annual pay reviews, skills matrix & a handsome pension contribution. Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and paying £33,155 - £35,760 per annum, depending on your experience. There is also a significant starting bonus on offer.

Duties will include:

• Ensure assembly and build quality is of optimum standard.
• Ensure machinery is of optimum quality and working standard prior to delivery.
• Attending site for machine commissioning and breakdowns.
• Working to deadlines and delivery dates.
• Ensure production instructions and quality standards are met/exceeded.
• On-site commissioning and customer training.

You will need to be:

• Experienced in being responsible for the mechanical assembly of all sub and main assemblies.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Able to carry out repairs, and servicing of all equipment.
• Proficient in general engineering, marking out, drilling, and tapping.
• Carry out work on-site, or off-site as requested and agreed.
