Sammons Group is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician based in Eastbourne, East Sussex. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling precision mechanical and electrical components, conducting tests, and ensuring product quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience in precision assembly, wiring or product testing is advantageous.
• Manufacturing or cleanroom experience is desirable.
• Experience with low-volume or customised products is beneficial.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carry out wiring, testing and quality checks.
• Follow detailed manufacturing and assembly procedures.
• Support the introduction of new products into production.
• Create and update manufacturing instructions and documentation.
• Record test results and maintain production records.
• Ensure work meets required quality and cleanliness standards.
• Support occasional client visits and site-based work.

• Level 3 Mechanical Engineering, HNC/HND, degree or equivalent experience


• Time-served apprenticeship/QBE candidates will also be considered
