Job summary

Job Advert is hiring a Mechanical Assembler in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. The role involves hands-on assembly of mechanical components and equipment for industrial systems, with in-house training and development opportunities.

Working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm. Salary ranges from £27,000 to £29,000 per annum, with benefits including on-site parking, medical insurance, a performance bonus scheme and clear career progression paths.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assembly and fitting.
• Confident using hand and power tools and following drawings.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and equipment for water treatment systems.
• Fit and connect pipes, pumps, valves and brackets.
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work.
• Position, align and secure components per drawings.
• Assist with installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Identify basic assembly issues and escalate complex problems.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to meet production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop.
