Qualifications

• Experience in assembly or fitting in an engineering environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with machine builds is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly and testing of machinery and equipment.
• Work from engineering drawings, machine build books and SOPs.
• Carry out drilling, tapping, reaming and preparation of components.
• Fit non-electrical machine services, guarding, hydraulic hoses and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain quality standards and follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Complete documentation, production records and stock control.

This Mechanical Assembler position is ideal for someone with previous assembly or fitting experience looking for a long-term move.

Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Assembler:

• Assist with the assembly and testing of machinery and equipment
• Work from engineering drawings, machine build books and SOPs
• Carry out drilling, tapping, reaming and preparation of components
• Fit non-electrical machine services, guarding, hydraulic hoses and auxiliary equipment
• Maintain quality standards and follow all Health & Safety procedures
• Complete documentation, production records and stock control

What We're Looking For in a Mechanical Assembler:

• Previous experience in assembly, fitting or a similar engineering environment
• Experience working from engineering drawings

• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Flexible, reliable and willing to learn new skills

The site is based in Wortley and is easily accessible from Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, and surrounding areas.
