Job description

Our aerospace client in Bedhampton, Hampshire, is seeking three Mechanical Assemblers to join their team on a long-term contract with the likelihood of temporary to permanent employment.

Position: Mechanical Technicians (x3)

Location: Bedhampton, Havant

Shift: Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble hydraulic pumps, motors, and generators according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings.
• Interpret engineering drawings and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure precision and quality.
• Manufacture aerospace products that meet industry standards.

Requirements:

• Aerospace qualification or similar manufacturing assembly qualification preferred.
• Ability to work with small tolerances and attention to detail.
• Capability to obtain certification to sign off work according to relevant specifications.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality standards.

Additional Duties:

• Participate in 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Contribute to layout and technical responsibilities within the team.

Compensation:

• Overtime: Time and a half for hours over 37, and for Saturdays; double time for Sundays and bank holidays.
• Late shift: 20% pay uplift.

Working Hours:

• Monday - Thursday: 07:15 - 15:45
• Friday: 07:15 - 12:15
