Job summary

Sirius Recruitment Services Ltd is working with a Coventry-based subcontract sheet metal fabrication business to recruit an experienced Mechanical Assembler.

Join the production floor to construct multipart sub-assemblies from fabricated parts using hand and power tools, reading mechanical drawings, and ensuring quality. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:15–16:30 and Friday 07:15–12:15.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Assembler.
• Ability to read and work from mechanical and assembly drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good understanding of fabrication processes and workshop practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, professional and safety-focused approach.
• Forklift license beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Fit, align and assemble fabricated sheet metal parts to construct multipart sub-assemblies and final finished products.
• Accurately install mechanical fasteners, including inserting and setting rivets, bolts, washers and other ancillaries.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Report any Health & Safety concerns, missing materials.
• Use a range of hand and power tools and equipment safely.
• Ensure work meets quality and customer requirements, inspect parts before, during and after assembly.
• Support and guide other members of the team.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

We are working with a sub-contract sheet metal fabrication business in Coventry, who are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join their established and successful manufacturing team.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Assembler to join their production floor and helping bring their fabricated parts together into finished products.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit, align and assemble fabricated sheet metal parts to construct multipart sub-assemblies and final finished products
