Stagecoach Group Limited in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Backshift Chargehand Fitter to join the Engineering Team at Slatyford Depot. The role involves ensuring vehicles are maintained to high standards and supporting the day-to-day maintenance operations.

Shifts are 8 on, 6 off (four days per week); a PCV licence is preferred but training will be provided. NVQ Level 3 in Engineering is essential, with engineering experience of at least one year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Backshift Chargehand Fitter _ _to join our Engineering Team at our Slatyford _ _Depot in Newcastle upon Tyne.

At Stagecoach North East we operate over 400 vehicles, which connect our passengers across Tyne and Wear and Teesside with our engineering teams playing a fundamental role in ensuring our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Our depot at Slatyford _ _is a purpose-built facility and we operate 90 _ _busesfrom there.

The successful candidate will play a key role within our maintenance team to ensure our vehicles are maintained and repaired, so they remain available, roadworthy and reliable for our customers at all times.

This is a shift-based role, with shifts working on an 8 on, 6 off rota (4 days per week) which will be discussed at interview.

A PCV licence is preferred but not essential as training will be provided as required.

NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject is essential.

Salary: Potential to earn £45 - 50k per year with some overtime working.
