At Prestwick Service Centre, we specialise in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelle systems and engine components. We are excited to offer an opportunity for Mechanic Inspectors to join our Operational Business Units.

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Engaging in hands-on, detailed work, including the disassembly, repair, and assembly of aircraft nacelle components.
  • Reading and interpreting technical data, such as manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and engineering drawings.
  • Upholding high standards of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
  • Contributing ideas for process improvements and helping drive positive change.
Your Skills & Experience
  • A time-served qualification in a relevant discipline, with trade papers or an equivalent mechanical qualification.
  • Strong practical skills developed through experience in a mechanical or engineering environment.
  • A proactive and solution-focused mindset, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with a natural ability to collaborate and share knowledge.
  • Confidence in numeracy, literacy, and computer literacy.
  • A commitment to upholding Collins Aerospace policies and values, including ethics, safety, and continuous learning.
Preferred Experience (But Not Essential!)
  • Previous experience in an aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul environment.
  • Knowledge of aircraft composite structures and repairs.
  • Experience with fastener removal and installation.
  • Familiarity with engine build-up, measurement tools, and torque applications.
  • SAP or similar operating system experience.
  • An understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement principles.
