Job description

Job Title: Mechanic / Engineer / Car Builder

Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile professional to join our team. This role involves building and partially building Tomcat road and competition cars, along with repairing (including racing damage) and servicing various off-road and track competition vehicles, as well as fabrication tasks.

The ideal candidate should be a capable mechanic with resourcefulness and problem-solving skills. Competency in electrical systems repair and build, light fabrication, fibre glass repairs, welding, and machining (preferred but not essential) are desirable qualities.

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the project engineer, collaborating with both permanent staff and self-employed professionals in similar roles.

This position can be part-time, suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder interested in part-time work during retirement. Road testing and off-road testing will be part of the role, so a clean UK driving licence is required.
