Veseys Equipment, a division of Veseys Seeds Ltd., in PEI, is seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, maintain and repair a range of golf, municipal and commercial grounds equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, a team-focused attitude and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

This full-time role offers 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with overtime and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficient in the use of shop tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to health and safety standards.
• Red Seal Certification is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Use specialized tools, power tools, and hand tools effectively.
• Follow technical manuals and standard repair procedures.
• Complete, accurate records of work performed, including parts and labour.
• Collaborate with sales and parts departments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Guide junior mechanics or apprentices when required.

ABOUT VESEY’S EQUIPMENT:

• Mechanic – Full-Time
• Location: Veseys Equipment, PEI
• Wage: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
• Expected Hours: 30-40 per week/flexible

Signing Bonus: $2,000 for Red Seal Qualification/Certificate

• $1,000 upon signing
• $1,000 after 6 months of continuous service
