E-ppl Ltd in Coventry is seeking a skilled Mechanic for an outside IR35 umbrella contract, working on high-profile vehicle manufacturing and rework projects. You will perform re-works, repairs, and component replacements to meet stringent manufacturer standards.

Candidates must hold NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, a Category B licence, and own tools with proven hands-on experience on modern light vehicles.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Full UK driving licence (Category B).
• Must have own range of mechanical hand tools.
• Proven hands-on experience with modern light motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle re-works and mechanical assembly: fit/strip parts including engines, gearboxes, suspensions.
• Component replacement: diagnose, access and replace defective components.
• Modifications and servicing: perform light mechanical work and adjustments.
• Log repairs accurately in manual or digital systems per manufacturer standards.

About the Role

Join E-ppl Ltd as a Mechanic on high-profile vehicle manufacturing and supply chain projects in Coventry. We are looking for versatile, all-round mechanics capable of adapting to a full range of vehicle re-works, mechanical repairs, and component replacements to strict manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Re-works & Mechanical Assembly: Fit and strip mechanical and body parts, including interior trim, exterior panels, gearboxes, engines, and suspensions.
• Component Replacement: Diagnose, access, and replace damaged or defective components efficiently.
• Modifications & Servicing: Complete light mechanical work, adjustments, and modifications to original vehicle builds.
• Data & Time Tracking: Accurately log all completed repairs manually or on digital data systems, recording attendance and work times to manufacturer standards.

Location & Commute

Situated conveniently in Coventry, with direct access via the A45, A46, M6, and M42.

• Local Commuters: Easily accessible from Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Solihull, Birmingham, and the wider West Midlands / Warwickshire region.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Valid proof of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds (or equivalent) Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Driving Licence: Full Category B UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Tools: Must have your own range of mechanical hand tools.
• Experience: Proven hands-on experience working on modern light motor vehicles within an automotive environment.
