Job description

easyJet’s Engineering and Maintenance team are renowned for their innovative solutions. As part of the team you will have the opportunity to engage with all aspects of the airline’s operation to deliver the highest standards of aircraft performance, and will play a part in delivering Europe’s highest technical despatch reliability as recognised by Airbus. With the current program introducing the cutting-edge NEO aircraft and the arrival of the A321 in 2018 there couldn’t be a better time to join.

As a Mechanic you will perform defect rectification and routine servicing as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Certifying Licensed Aircraft Engineer in accordance with approved maintenance documentation. easyJet maintain the highest safety standards possible and as part of your role you will ensure that the planned in house maintenance activity supports both regulatory standards and easyJet’s industry leading safety and technical standards.

What you need to do the role

To demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of applicable airworthiness legislation. Ideally you will hold a time served apprenticeship and operational experience in a line maintenance environment. High degree of customer focus – both internal and external. You will be able to work effectively in a team in all levels of the organisation & also the willingness to be flexible to meet deadlines. Demonstrate a working knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation, technical knowledge of aircraft and hand skills required to carry out tasks. Lastly, the ability to use aircraft maintenance documentation and computer based reporting and recording systems.

Location & Hours of Work

This full-time role will be based in Gatwick working NNNN 10.75 hour shifts. Shift pattern will 4x4 with occasional travel requirements to easyJet’s headquarters or network locations.
