Job summary

Site Equip Ltd is expanding its Fleet Maintenance team and seeks a skilled Mechanic / Fleet Technician to service a fleet of vehicles, welfare units and trailers. The role is based in a fully equipped workshop and includes breakdown support with a company van.

You will service across locations, prepare vehicles for MOT, diagnose faults, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. A time-served background or NVQ Level 2 is required.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Time-served mechanic or NVQ Level 2 qualification as a minimum.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to use your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining our fleet across multiple locations.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT.
• Operating, maintaining, and diagnosing plant and equipment faults.
• Assessing, testing, and repairing equipment to high standards.
• Reading and interpreting technical documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Job description

Due to continued growth and the preparing for upcoming peak season, Site Equip is expanding its Fleet Maintenance team. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanic / Fleet Technician to help keep our fleet of vehicles, welfare units and accommodation trailers serviced, safe, and ready for hire.

You’ll work from our fully equipped workshop complete with lift and diagnostic tools and support breakdowns across London and the South East using a company-provided van.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Servicing and maintaining our fleet across multiple locations
• Preparing vehicles for MOT
• Operating, maintaining, and diagnosing plant and equipment faults
