  • Knowledge of MOT standards and UK roadworthiness regulations is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and commitment to safe working practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with clear communication to colleagues and customers.

Role Description

The Mechanic role is a full-time, on-site position based at our Edinburgh service centre. The mechanic will perform day-to-day tasks such as diagnosing vehicle issues, carrying out routine maintenance, completing repairs, and preparing vehicles for MOT inspections. Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical faults, replacing or repairing parts, and ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards. The role involves working with a range of vehicles, operating workshop tools and equipment, and maintaining accurate service records. The mechanic will collaborate with service advisors and other team members to deliver clear updates to customers and help maintain an organized, clean and safe workshop environment.
