A great opportunity has arisen for a versatile and hardworking Mechanic or Vehicle Technician to join the PalmerSport team here at Bedford Autodrome. This role will involve working within the Engineering team, maintaining our high-performance fleet including McLaren Artura GT4s, PalmerSport Formula 3000s, Ginetta G56s, JP-LMs, and Caterhams as well as a whole host of event support and site maintenance vehicles to ensure we deliver market leading retail and corporate motor racing events.
Jobs duties will include:
Maintaining to the highest standards and preparing the PalmerSport event vehicle fleetConducting thorough inspections of our high-performance vehicles on the completion of our corporate eventsWork with our Engineering team to determine the source of mechanical and electrical problems and work to solve issues efficiently and comprehensivelyComplete job cards to a very high standard to detail a vehicle repair and service historyReport to the Workshop Supervisor with diagnosis and parts required to rectifyComplete diagnostic testing on the mechanical and electrical systemYou will be / have:A good understanding of mechanical engineering with a recognised qualification i.e. City and GuildsA flexible attitude to working hours as there will be late finishes as well as evening and weekend working required in this rolePrevious experience working with high performance / race spec vehiclesAny race team car preparation experience will be highly valued in this roleFull UK driving licencePride in your work and want to complete tasks to the best of your abilityA track record of meeting strict deadlinesIn return PalmerSport offer:Competitive pay + benefitsUp to 31 days holiday per yearAccess to discounts via our MSV HubA pass for yourself and a friend to attend all events hosted at MSV circuits across the countryDiscounted food and drink when working on siteA workplace pensionFree onsite parkingTraining opportunitiesThis is a fantastic opportunity to work within a race / high performance environment, without the requirement of travelling.
