Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical/HVAC Engineer to join a multi-discipline team working on semiconductor, assembly & test facilities and other advanced industrial projects. You will lead plant design activities, coordinate with electrical, structural and process teams, and deliver 2D/3D designs with Navisworks in a BIM environment.

Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in building services or mechanical engineering, 5+ years’ Mech/HVAC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in building services/mechanical engineering.
• Semiconductor experience preferable in large-scale industrial projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Navisworks in BIM environment.
• 5+ years engineering/design experience in the Mech/HVAC systems.
• Excellent English, written and spoken.
• Ability to interact with other disciplines, clients and vendors.
• Experience in industrial/advanced technology sector.

Responsibilities

• Organize, assign, and delegate tasks to produce construction documents.
• Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, architectural and process teams.
• Independently lead plant design activities as area/system leader.
• Perform Mech/HVAC design work in 2D/3D systems.
• Perform quality reviews of modelling and deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.
• Assist in proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Develop designer effort-hour estimates for Mech/HVAC.
• Site selection and due diligence activities.
• Provide guidance to engineers and designers; mentor as needed.
• Communicate effectively in a fast-paced team with deadlines.
