EDF Energy is launching a Mechanical Engineering Graduate programme in the United Kingdom. You will gain hands-on experience across engineering and operational environments, supporting safety‑critical projects and turbine overhauls while developing technical and professional skills.

The 16‑month programme begins in early September 2027, with placements at key sites such as Heysham. Security Vetting and UK residency are required; attendance at a virtual Assessment Centre on 10 November 2026 is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Interest in engineering and the future of nuclear energy.
• UK residency for at least three of the past five years (Security Vetting).

Responsibilities

• Complete placements across a variety of engineering and operational environments.
• Contribute to safety‑critical projects, plant modifications, turbine overhauls and commissioning activities.
• Support the transition towards An Electric Britain through programme work.
