Job summary

Precision People is seeking a skilled CNC Mazak Setter/Programmer for a Birmingham-based role. You will set and operate Mazak turning machines, read engineering drawings, and ensure quality through tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate will have Mazak Mazatrol experience and programming ability, with aerospace sector exposure preferred. Overtime is available, and the role offers a day shift pattern in Birmingham with a pension and 31 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating Mazak lathes.
• CNC Turner on Mazatrol controls; programming desirable.
• Experience with precision engineering and tight tolerances.
• Experience in aerospace industry desirable.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Able to quality check own parts.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with high quality.
• Motivated and an excellent team player.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Mazak turning machines.
• Programming if experienced.
• Adjust offsets and modify programs as needed.
• Work from drawings and Mazatrol controls.
• Quality check components.
• Maintain machinery; remove swarf and perform routine oiling/greasing.
• Carry out other duties as required and comply with health, safety, quality and environmental rules.
