Job summary

Streamline Search Ltd in Poole is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a specialist precision engineering business. You will program, set and operate Mazak CNC machining centres to manufacture precision components, reading detailed customer drawings and specifications.

You will optimise milling methods, write Mazak and ISO CNC programs, select tooling, perform first-off inspections, and maintain CNC programmes. A strong eye for quality and adherence to ISO 9001:2015 are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Experience with Mazak CNC machinery is highly desirable.
• Experience reading detailed engineering drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production times.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Mazak CNC milling centres to produce components.
• Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications.
• Determine milling methods and machining processes for each part.
• Write and edit Mazak and ISO CNC programmes.
• Select cutting tools and machining conditions.
• Carry out first-off inspections to verify specifications.
• Create, store and maintain CNC programmes.
• Review works orders and instructions for machining requirements.
• Monitor production quality to meet standards.
• Meet production set-up and run times while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve methods and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment; comply with ISO 9001:2015.
