Job summary

The Leys in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Matron to provide pastoral care and guidance across its day boarding houses. You'll work closely with the Housemaster/Housemistress and the House Team to ensure a warm, purposeful, and smoothly run daily routine.

Hours are 07:30–15:30 Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays. The role is temporary–permanent, offering 35 weeks per year. DBS checks, eligibility to work in the UK, and references will be completed as part of the appointment process.

The Leys is a close-knit, engaged, friendly community of around 550 pupils in which pastoral care is seen as the top priority.

We are seeking an experienced Matron to provide pastoral care and guidance cover across our various day boarding houses. You will be working closely with the Housemaster / Housemistress and House Team, to ensure a warm, purposeful, and the efficient running of the day-to-day routine within the House.

Your working hours will be 07.30 – 15.30 Monday to Friday and 07.30 – 11.30 on an agreed number of Saturdays.
