Job summary

The Leys School in Cambridge is seeking a temporary Matron to provide pastoral care and guidance across our day boarding houses. You will work with the Housemaster/Housemistress and House Team to ensure a warm, purposeful atmosphere and smooth daily routines within the House.

The role is term-time only with hours 07.30 – 14.30 Monday to Friday, and 07.30 -11.30 on an agreed number of Saturdays. For a full description of the role please see the Job Description and Person specification.

The Leys is a close-knit, engaged, friendly community of around 550 pupils in which pastoral care is seen as the top priority.

We are seeking a temporary Matron to provide pastoral care and guidance cover across our various day boarding houses. You will be working closely with the Housemaster/Housemistress and House Team, to ensure a warm, purposeful, and pleasant atmosphere and efficient running of the day-to-day routine within the House. Your working hours will be 07.30 – 14.30 Monday to Friday, and 07.30 -11.30 on an agreed number of Saturdays.
