Job summary

GSL Education Newcastle Branch is seeking a dedicated Maths Tutor to join a specialist SEMH provision in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE15). This full-time role focuses on supporting students with personalised learning and building confidence and numeracy skills.

Applicants may be qualified teachers or tutors; DBS checks are required and QTS is preferred but not essential. Competitive daily rates (£125–£145) and ongoing CPD are available.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring Maths at secondary level.
• Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour is desirable.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised Maths lessons to students with SEMH needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of learning abilities and emotional needs.

GSL Education Newcastle Branch are seeking a dedicated Maths Tutor to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE15) from this September. This full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting students who require an alternative approach to education, helping them build confidence, resilience, and essential numeracy skills.

Key Responsibilities of the Mathematics Tutor
