Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Maths Tutor to support a student in a school setting in Braintree. You will provide tailored maths tuition and work closely with teachers to ensure targeted learning, adapting methods to suit the pupil's learning style and needs.

The role offers flexible hours (part time or full time depending on availability) and a focus on safeguarding. Prospero Teaching provides CPD and in-house training to support success.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent.
• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential).

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Braintree
• Position - one to one tutor
• Type of work - Contract
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration - dependent on each student
• End date (if applicable) - N/A
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 25 per hour
• Hours - Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy.
