Job summary

Compass Community Schools is seeking a Mathematics specialist to lead learning across Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3 and GCSE. You will be supported by national subject champions who help non-subject specialists deliver engaging, relevant lessons and to know each child well.

The role requires working with children with SEMH and SEND, managing behaviours with a nurturing, flexible approach and contributing to curriculum development and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications

• The role is for a Mathematics specialist who can engage with a range of curricula and support students across levels.
• Ability to manage different behaviour alongside high expectations for learning.
• Experience or ability to work with SEMH/SEND students is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Know the child, build professional, nurturing relationships and motivate students.
• Deliver Maths across Entry Level, Functional Skills, KS3 and GCSE with support from national subject champions.
• Contribute to developing curriculum and opportunities in extracurricular activities and staff collaboration.
