Job summary

Compass Community School is seeking a Mathematics specialist to teach across Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3 and GCSE. You will be supported by national subject champions who help non-subject specialists facilitate learning.

The role requires building positive relationships, managing some challenging behaviours, and contributing to curriculum design and extra-curricular activities within a trauma-informed setting.

Qualifications

• Maths specialist with ability to teach across Entry Level, Functional Skills, KS3 and GCSE.
• You will work within a trauma-informed setting with challenging behaviours and require effective communication.
• You will contribute to curriculum development and opportunities beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Know the child and build professional, nurturing relationships to motivate learners.
• Plan engaging and relevant maths lessons across the specified key stages.
• Support learning among students with SEMH needs and adapt approaches as required.
• Collaborate with staff to enhance the educational and extra-curricular offer.
