Job summary

Jane Austen College seeks an outstanding Maths Teacher to join a high-achieving department. You will teach Maths up to KS4, collaborate with the curriculum team, and contribute to a knowledge-rich curriculum within the Inspiration Trust network.

We expect QTS-qualified applicants with strong communication skills, a commitment to high standards, and experience teaching Maths in secondary education. The role offers a supportive CPD programme and a clear progression path.

Qualifications

• QTS qualification and degree in Maths or related field.
• Ability to teach Maths up to KS4.
• Knowledge of Equality, Health & Safety, SEND, and Child Protection.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with pupils, parents, and staff.
• Experience teaching Maths in secondary education (11–16).
• Experience supporting pupils' personal development as a form tutor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional conduct and engage in performance management and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and SLT.
• Participate in meetings and school events outside normal hours.
• Uphold Trust and Academy policies and Health & Safety standards.
• Monitor pupil safeguarding, welfare, attendance, punctuality and behaviour.
• Deliver curriculum, prepare pupils for examinations, and run interventions.
• Plan collaboratively, set homework, and adapt for SEND/EAL.
