Job summary

Furness Education Trust is seeking a Maths teacher for Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. The role involves securing high-quality teaching and helping students of all abilities maximise attainment, under the guidance of the Subject Leader.

Experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome. You will work with the Maths department to raise achievement, collaborate with partner schools in the Trust, and enrich learning through trips and activities.

Qualifications

• Clear evidence of ability to secure high-quality teaching and learning in maths.
• Ability to raise achievement for all students in maths.
• Understanding of accountability for student performance.
• Willingness to contribute to maths provision across the Trust and school improvement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Secure high-quality teaching and learning and lead by example in the classroom.
• Raise levels of achievement for all students in maths.
• Understand accountability for student performance.
• Contribute to maths provision within the Academy and broader Trust improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with other schools in the Multi-Academy Trust.
• Develop departmental expertise and enrich student learning including trips and visits.
