Job summary

The Education Network is recruiting a Maths Teacher for a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Walsall, starting January 2027 on a full-time supply basis. You will teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that build knowledge, fluency and problem-solving skills.

You’ll plan, deliver and assess lessons, upholding high standards of behaviour and achievement while supporting pupil progress within a supportive teaching team.

Qualifications

• QTS or ECT qualification in Mathematics is required.
• Ability to teach Maths across KS3–KS5.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and track student progress regularly.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Walsall from January 2027 on a full-time supply basis.

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ mathematical knowledge, understanding, fluency and problem-solving skills.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering effective lessons, assessing student progress and maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS or be an ECT specialising in Mathematics
• Have strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching Maths across KS3–KS5
• Be able to deliver engaging and accessible lessons
• Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities
• Be organised, reliable and committed to supporting student progress
• Build positive professional relationships with students and colleagues

You will be joining an Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Walsall, teaching students across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

This full-time supply opportunity provides the chance to make a positive contribution to students’ mathematical development while working as part of the wider teaching team.
