THE MATHS TEACHER JOB & SCHOOL

Based in Hampshire, this is a highly successful and popular special school for pupils aged 8-16 years with ASD, attachment difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs, and challenging behaviours. They are seeking to appoint an outstanding Maths Teacher who offers a creative, multi-sensory, and dynamic approach towards teaching and learning.

The school provides a strong sense of community with a caring and considerate ethos, where all students and staff are respected and valued. They value parental and carer partnerships and operate an open-door policy to encourage and support this.

The school offers bespoke curricula to enable all students to succeed and progress both educationally and emotionally, ensuring they have the support and understanding needed in a suitable environment to access their education.

THE IDEAL MATHS TEACHER APPLICANT

The school is open-minded in their pursuit of their ideal Maths Teacher and has set out the following criteria:

• A qualified teacher with QTS (NQTs will be considered as they have comprehensive induction and mentoring systems in place).
• A passion for Special Educational Needs and a creative, inspirational approach to developing and delivering the curriculum, capable of inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential.
• Ability to work collaboratively to secure the best outcomes for all pupils.
• An understanding of behaviour management strategies to support pupils.
• Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team of Teaching Assistants.
