Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a successful secondary school in Newcastle to recruit a Maths Teacher from January 2027, focusing on A Level Mathematics and A Level Further Mathematics while delivering across KS3 and KS4 and contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and enrichment within Mathematics.

The successful candidate will hold QTS with a strong Maths specialism, have experience teaching Mathematics across KS3/KS4 and A Level Maths/Further Maths, and will join a supportive

Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Newcastle
Start Date: January 2027
Salary: £160 - £220 per day

Do you have experience teaching A Level Mathematics and A Level Further Mathematics?

Can you inspire students across Key Stage 3 / KS3, Key Stage 4 / KS4 and Sixth Form to achieve their full potential?

The school is looking to take on an ambitious Maths Teacher on a long-term basis from January 2027. The successful Maths Teacher will have a significant focus on A Level Mathematics and A Level Further Mathematics, while also teaching across KS3 and KS4 and contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and enrichment within Mathematics.

The successful Maths Teacher will have:

• QTS with a strong Mathematics specialism


• Experience teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4


• Experience teaching A Level Mathematics and A Level Further Mathematics


• Strong academic subject knowledge and successful classroom practice


• Excellent classroom management and communication skills


• A positive and ambitious approach to teaching and learning
