Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher for a large Catholic boys’ secondary in Hounslow. Start ASAP on a long-term contract to July 2027. You will teach KS3 and KS4 Maths, planning engaging lessons and supporting diverse learners.

The role runs 8:30am–3:30pm in a full-time capacity, with salary aligned to Outer London MPS/UPS. Parking is available for staff as part of a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Proven ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Maths with strong subject knowledge.
  • Commitment to supporting students within a Catholic ethos.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 to a range of abilities.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to develop mathematical understanding.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations and build confidence in maths.
  • Collaborate with Maths department to develop curriculum and assessment.

Maths Teacher

A large Catholic secondary school for boys based in Hounslow are looking for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team.

The school are looking for someone to start ASAP on a long-term contract until at least July 2027.

This position will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths and would be suitable for an experienced teacher looking to develop their teaching career within a supportive school environment.

This is a full-time position, with working hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Salary will match Outer London MPS/UPS, depending on experience.

The school has available parking spaces for staff.

Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students develop strong mathematical knowledge, understanding and problem-solving skills. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students of different abilities and encourage them to achieve their full academic potential. Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching approaches to support individual learning needs. Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations by developing their confidence, mathematical reasoning and ability to apply concepts to unfamiliar problems. Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment where students are encouraged to participate, ask questions and develop a genuine interest in Mathematics. Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department to contribute to curriculum development, assessment and the continued improvement of teaching and learning. Embrace the Catholic ethos and values of the school, contributing positively to the wider school community and supporting students' academic, social and personal development.

M1 - M6 salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6. UPS requires formal application. TLR payments are made for agreed, sustained additional duties outside of regular teaching.
