Job summary

Supply Desk, in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Ascot, is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher for a September start. You will deliver Maths across KS3/KS4, inspiring pupils and supporting progress in numeracy, reasoning and problem solving.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, strong maths knowledge, and confident classroom management. ECTs are welcome; commuting to Bourne End, Buckinghamshire is expected.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and/or KS4).
  • ECTs welcome with relevant Maths teaching placements.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Engaging, enthusiastic, and supportive teaching style.
  • Availability to start in September.
  • Ability to commute to Bourne End, Buckinghamshire.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Prepare students for assessments and GCSE Maths.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded secondary school in Ascot, to recruit a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher for a September start.

This role is ideal for a Maths specialist who is enthusiastic about numeracy, confident delivering engaging and structured lessons, and committed to helping pupils develop strong mathematical understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring pupils and supporting progress in all areas of mathematics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Teaching key topics such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and number
  • Preparing students for assessments and GCSE Maths
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environmentli>
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
  • Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
  • Working collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
