Job summary
East Lancashire Learning Group is seeking an experienced Maths Lecturer to join the English and Maths Division at Accrington and Rossendale College. You will teach GCSE and Functional Skills Maths, plan schemes of work, and motivate students to achieve their best.
The role requires a teaching qualification and a degree in Maths or related subject, with strong communication and a passion for the subject. The position is based primarily at Accrington and Rossendale campus, with potential travel
Qualifications
- Experience of teaching GCSE maths within a Further Education or Secondary setting.
- Experience of teaching Functional Skills maths is also desirable – but not essential
- Teaching qualification
- Degree in Maths or associated subject - or alternative degree with A Level Maths
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- You will plan courses, develop schemes of work, and create lesson plans and resources.
- Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to students at Accrington and Rossendale College.
- Contribute to curriculum design and raise student retention and success rates.
- Collaborate with the Maths and English division to deliver high-quality teaching.
