Job summary

Warwick College Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maths lecturer to teach GCSE and FS Maths within the Further Education sector. The on-site, pro rata role follows a Monday–Wednesday schedule, with an enhanced DBS check required for safeguarding compliance.

You will plan, deliver and assess the maths programme, keep accurate records, and contribute to CPD to stay aligned with industry needs. A degree in Maths and teacher training are essential.

Qualifications

• A degree in Maths or related disciplines such as Engineering.
• GCSE grade A-C or equivalent qualification in Maths and English.
• Teacher Training Qualification or willingness to undertake the courses required to gain this.
• Experience of teaching GCSE and FS Maths, preferably in Further Education
• A willingness to undertake continuing professional development.
• There is a requirement for Lecturers to maintain CPD and update industry specific skills annually.

Responsibilities

• Teaching – contribute to the teaching programme delivering the subject.
• Preparation and Assessment – develop and produce teaching materials and relevant paperwork, undertake assessment and keep records.
• Administration – undertake administrative tasks relating to the programmes taught and College requirements.
• Quality Systems – undertake Internal Verification and participate in lesson observations and college quality processes.
• Health and Safety – ensure a safe working environment and comply with HASAW Act and college policy.
• Safeguarding – safeguard and promote the welfare of children and at-risk adults; may invigilate exams during busy periods.
