Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Maths Lecturer for a leading Further Education provider in London. This temporary role starts in September and is full-time. You will deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths, plan lessons, assess learners and support progression within a collaborative team.

The successful candidate will have a maths degree, a recognised teaching qualification and experience in FE/Sixth Form settings, with strong communication and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in FE or Sixth Form
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics across GCSE/Functional Skills
• Qualified teacher status or equivalent teaching qualification

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE Math, Functional Skills Math and other Maths programmes.
• Plan and deliver lessons, activities and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback and records of achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team.

Hours: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Math lessons across the relevant curriculum.
• Plan and deliver lessons, learning activities and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
• Deliver GCSE Math, Functional Skills Math and other relevant Math programmes.
• Support students with their academic development and progression.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Use engaging teaching methods to develop students' mathematical knowledge and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team.
• Support students in developing the skills required for further study and employment.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience teaching

Math within an FE or Sixth Form setting.

• Strong subject knowledge across Math and related areas.
• A recognised teaching qualification.
• A degree in Mathematics, Math Education or a relevant subject.
• Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills Math.
• Excellent communication, classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners.
• A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve strong academic and career outcomes.
