Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting for a Teacher of Maths at a Further Education college in Northamptonshire. The role involves delivering high-quality Maths teaching up to GCSE, planning engaging lessons, tutoring groups, and supporting curriculum development with the Head of Faculty.

We welcome both experienced teachers and those new to teaching, offering rolling interviews and opportunities for professional development in a supportive, learner-focused environment.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
• Up-to-date knowledge and experience of the GCSE Maths curriculum.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A passion for education and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
• Experience working within a Further Education setting is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Maths up to GCSE level.
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Tutoring and managing one or more courses or groups of students.
• Supporting the development of the Maths curriculum alongside the Head of Faculty.
• Acting as a Course Tutor for full-time and part-time student groups.
• Monitoring attendance, progress, and achievement, ensuring appropriate records are maintained.
• Collecting and analysing data for course evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Providing learners with timely feedback and support to help them achieve their goals.
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive and learner-focused environment.

The Role

About You
