Job summary

Newbury College is seeking a Maths Learning Coach to support students in GCSE Maths and other maths provision. You will work closely with maths lecturers to deliver high-quality in-class support, targeted interventions and help learners build confidence and skills.

The role involves short-term lesson cover, developing engaging learning materials, and creating an inclusive learning environment to help all students thrive.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
• Experience supporting young people in education.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND or additional needs.
• Good communication and IT skills.
• Patient, organised and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality in-class maths support.
• Deliver targeted interventions to develop confidence and attainment in GCSE Maths.
• Help learners overcome barriers to learning and monitor progress.
• Provide short-term lesson cover using pre-prepared resources.
