Job summary

Bluebank School is seeking an ambitious Maths Subject Lead to shape our maths curriculum and raise standards across the school.

Working with the Headteacher and the leadership team, you will inspire students, coach teachers, and use assessment data to drive improvement, ensuring maths remains engaging and accessible for every learner.

This is a leadership role requiring QTS and experience leading curriculum, with a collaborative approach and a strong commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • QTS and strong experience teaching mathematics up to key stage 4.
  • Experience leading a subject, developing curriculum or taking on wider leadership responsibilities.
  • The confidence to influence, inspire and develop others.
  • A creative and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

Job description

We're looking for an ambitious and inspiring Maths Subject Lead to join Bluebank School and make a real difference to how our students experience, understand and engage with mathematics.

This is more than a subject leadership role. It's an opportunity to shape our maths curriculum, influence teaching across the school and inspire both students and colleagues to see what's possible.

Working alongside the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and wider leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to develop a purposeful, engaging and ambitious maths curriculum that responds to the individual needs of our learners.

What you will be doing
  • Lead the vision for maths across the school, developing a curriculum that is ambitious, engaging and accessible.
