Job summary

Step Into Teaching Limited in Oxford is seeking a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of Mathematics lessons and to provide targeted tuition to students. A maths degree holder with enthusiasm for education is ideal, and you will gain valuable classroom experience ahead of teacher training.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, starting September 2026, with term-time only pay of £500–£530 per week pro rata.

Qualifications

• A Mathematics degree or closely related subject.
• Strong grasp of mathematical concepts and curriculum content.
• Experience with children or in educational settings is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm and ability to engage students.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities and help deliver Mathematics lessons.
• Provide one-to-one or small group tuition as needed.
• Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources.
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with homework and administrative tasks related to progress tracking.
